Preparedness Notes for Friday – March 30, 2018

On March 30, 1981, President Reagan [1] was shot and seriously injured outside a Washington, D.C. hotel by John W. Hinckley Jr. Also wounded were White House news secretary James Brady, a Secret Service agent, and a District of Columbia police officer. Known for his quips and unaware of the injury to others at the scene, President Reagan walked into the hospital, despite his wound, and was heard telling his wife, “Honey, I forgot to duck.”

John Hinckley Jr. freed in 2016 and living with his mother . I do not have the words to explain the disgust that I have for that decision . Sane or not this man should have been put to death or imprisoned for life . He shot the president of The United States . Unbelievable . Freed by the same people that are trying to destroy the 2nd Amendment . Destroy the guns so murderous wackos can roam the streets unattended . That is what we are up against . Thank you .

Love that man. He took his job seriously, no matter what it was. He just never took himself (too) seriously.

“Rawhide Down: The Near Assassination of Ronald Reagan” is an interesting book about the assassination attempt.
