Preparedness Notes for Tuesday – February 20, 2018

This is the birthday of novelist and screenwriter Richard Matheson (1926–2013). He wrote many sci-fi television scripts. His novella I Am Legend [1] later was adapted into three different movies over the course of five decades, and his story Bid Time Return [2] became the charming movie Somewhere In Time [3].

SurvivalBlog Writing Contest

This has been another entry for Round 75 of the SurvivalBlog non-fiction writing contest [5]. The nearly $11,000 worth of prizes for this round include:

Round 75 ends on March 31st, so get busy writing and e-mail [15] us your entry. Remember that there is a 1,500-word minimum, and that articles on practical “how to” skills for survival have an advantage in the judging.

WordPress’ latest update broke a bunch of stuff in our old temple which was no longer supported. Still working on it to get it as close as we can to the usual format.
